“A baby’s gotta do what a baby’s gotta do” when Nickelodeon’s Rugrats returns on Paramount+ on May 27.
The rebooted series sports a brand-new style of animation, with the bright-colored cartoon rendered in three-dimensional CGI.
The babies are once again voiced by the original series’ actors: E.G. Daily (Tommy Pickles), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie Finster), Cheryl Chase (Angelica Pickles), Cree Summer (Susie Carmichael) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil DeVille).
The series’ parents are voiced by an entirely new crew, including Ashley Rae Spillers and Tommy Dewey voicing Tommy’s parents, Didi and Stu Pickles; Veep’s Tony Hale voicing Chuckie’s father, Chas Finster; Parks and Rec’s Natalie Morales voicing Phil and Lil’s mother, Betty DeVille; Veep’s Anna Chlumsky and Timothy Simons voicing Angelica’s parents, Charlotte and Drew Pickles); Nailed It!’s Nicole Byer and Omar Miller voicing (Susie’s parents, Lucy and Randy Carmichael); and Better Call Saul’s Michael McKean voicing Grandpa Lou Pickles.
