The VICE brand, recently rumored to be taking over the H2 channel under A+E sometime in 2016, presented its digital plans at its NewFront presentation Friday afternoon.
VICE’s Shane Smith announced about 20 new series, including a partnership with actress Ellen Page, a sports series and a show from its Web brand called F**k That’s Delicious.
Eight of the 20 shows have gone into production already, which also include interview series Vice Portraits with Marc Maron, Black Market with Michael K. Williams with The Wire star, music docuseries Noisey and science/technology show Motherboard.
News Corp. also held its NewFront on Friday, using a series of installations for an experiential presentation.
The media company, which owns The Wall Street Journal and Post Digital Network, as well as Storyful, IAF and Decider, touted its pop culture reach through digital means.
Post Digital Network pitches its new series Surreal Estate, Do What You Love and Here to Help, all video series open to brand partners for customized pieces.

Brief Take: The VICE brand has been steadily growing and beginning to straddle the digital and TV worlds, but with its new A+E deal, we may see it at the upfronts next year far from its NewFront beginnings.
