FX’s breakout Atlanta — created, written, directed and produced by and starring Donald Glover — was named best TV comedy at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, while another rookie, Netflix’s The Crown, was named best drama.

Both of the main stars of Atlanta and The Crown also won their respective categories, with Glover winning best actor in a TV comedy and Claire Foy, playing a young Queen Elizabeth, winning best actress in a TV drama. Best actress in a TV comedy went to Tracee Ellis Ross for ABC’s Black-ish, while Billy Bob Thornton won best actor in a TV drama for Amazon’s Goliath, which is written and created by David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro.

FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson continued to reap awards in the made-for-TV-movie and mini-series category, with the series winning the category and Sarah Paulson named best actress in a mini-series for her portrayal of prosecutor Marcia Clark, which also won her the Emmy.

AMC’s The Night Manager managed to sneak in and steal some Globes away from People v. OJ Simpson, with Hugh Laurie winning best supporting actor in a mini-series, Tom Hiddleston winning best actor and Olivia Colman winning best supporting actress.

Broadcast networks were almost shut out of the Globes entirely with only Ellis Ross coming in for the win for Black-ish, while perennial awards leader HBO took home no awards on Sunday night, even though Game of Thrones, Westworld, Veep and The Night Of were all nominated in multiple categories.

Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon hosted the festivities, although he was met with early teleprompter difficulties and didn’t offer many jokes in between awards presentations. The funniest presenters of the evening were arguably Steve Carell and Kristin Wiig, relaying their memories of the first animated movie that they saw as children, just before presenting Zootopia with the trophy.

Also on the movie side, La La Land fairly swept its category, winning seven Globes including best comedy or musical and breaking the record for most won by a single movie. Stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone both took home trophies, two moments that may be replayed in a few months at the Oscars. Moonlight was named best drama. Casey Affleck won best actor for Manchester by the Sea, while Isabelle Huppert won best actress for the French film, Elle.
