​If you’ve ever been to a professional rodeo, you’ve probably wondered “what the heck are those guys thinking?”

The bull riders climb on top of what seems like a very angry bull and then just hold on for the eight longest, but potentially most exciting, seconds you’ve ever sat through. If they make it that long, that is.

The scariest part actually comes next—when the rider gets thrown off the bull and then has to get out of the way of that thrashing one-ton beast as quickly as possible.

Netflix’s six-part documentary—Fearless, premiering on Aug. 19—goes inside that world, following riders who are riding their ways to the World Championships in Las Vegas.
