“There’s a stereotype that Mexicans are really emotional … Obviously, it’s true,” in Netflix’s new series Made in Mexico.

The show follows the lives of nine well-to-do socialites in Mexico City, revealing the flawed lives of the seemingly perfect elite, according to the streamer.

The cast members are described as passionate, unapologetically real, fashionable and sophisticated, and they know how to set trends in one of the world’s most culturally vibrant cities, where family name is your bond and legacy is everything.

“You can’t have all the money, all the beauty, all the passion, without a little drama,” as the trailer puts it.

Cast for the upcoming series includes: Carlos Girón Longoria, Chantal Trujillo, Columba Díaz, Hanna Jaff, Kitzia Mitre, Liz Woodburn, Pepe Díaz , Roby Checa and Shanik Aspe.

Made in Mexico is produced by Love Productions USA and includes Richard McKerrow, Kevin Bartel and Brandon Panaligan as executive producers and Lauren Volonakis and Matthew Moul as co-executive producers.

It debuts globally on September 28 on Netflix.
