As expected, Netflix will continue to offer previous seasons of The CW’s scripted series in a multi-year deal, the two companies said on Tuesday.

“Netflix members in the US love the great lineup of series from The CW, and we are thrilled to extend the relationship and bring those shows to our members exclusively now, just eight days after their season finales,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix in a statement. “This is a great step forward with a valued network partner to give fans exactly what they want, when and how they want it.”

Proof that The CW’s series perform well on Netflix is demonstrated by the streaming service’s upcoming revival of The Gilmore Girls, which debuted on The WB in 2000, transferred to The CW in 2006 with that network’s launch and then ended its seven-season run in 2007. Netflix’s four-episode limited series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, will drop on the streaming service on Nov. 22, 2016.

The CW’s series that will be available to stream on Netflix include Supergirl, which is moving to The CW from CBS this fall, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Netflix remains The CW’s exclusive subscription video on demand (SVOD) service, although The CW’s shows are also available on its own online services.

The multi-year deal, which renews a pre-existing deal created in 2011, includes the just-completed 2015-16 season, as well as the upcoming TV season and beyond. Starting with this cycle, Netflix will be able to stream series’ entire library, including the season that just concluded, eight days after the season finale.

Included in the deal are this season’s upcoming new series on The CW: Frequency, based on the movie starring Dennis Quaid; No Tomorrow and Riverdale, a live-action version of the Archie comics. Other series available will include The Vampire Diaries, The 100, iZombie, The Originals and Reign.

“Since the initial landmark deal in 2011, The CW’s programming has enjoyed tremendous success and increased exposure through Netflix, and our new agreement not only continues but enhances this valuable relationship,” said Mark Pedowitz, president, The CW, in a statement. “The CW has positioned itself for the future by transforming into a true hybrid network, rooted in broadcast while fully embracing the digital and streaming habits of the viewers.”
