To the surprise of no one, Netflix on Sunday said it had greenlight hit Korean drama Squid Game for a second season, releasing a quick teaser video on Twitter.
Having scored 1.65 billion global views in its first 28 days of release, Squid Game is Netflix’s most-watched series in any language by a wide margin.

Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk also released a letter for fans, in which he revealed that Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) and masked antagonist the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) will both be back.

The season-two release date has not yet been determined but it could be as far away as late 2023 or even 2024, reported Variety.
