Broadband has dominated the proceedings so far at The Cable Show, the NCTA‘s three-day annual industry conference in Washington, DC.
NCTA president Michael Powell kicked off the proceedings with a keynote addressing broadband’s role in making cable accessible at any time, in almost any place. Powell’ said cable companies should embrace broadband, which now reaches more than 93% of American homes.
In panels following Powell’s speech, Twitter COO Ali Rowghani presented broadband as an enabler for consumers, and AMC CEO and president Josh Sapan discussed how web content is a way of generating and maintaining interest in shows in between seasons.
