​While CBS will continue to air the NCAA Final Four championship game in 2014 and 2015, the final four semifinals leading up to it will now go to TBS. Both TBS and CBS networks signed a deal in 2010 agreeing to share March Madness game broadcasts. The shift comes in the wake of broadcasters such as CBS threatening to become cable networks should startup Aereo continue to stream their live television feeds unabated. Sports are one of the few remaining pieces of programming that viewers still need to watch live, and some see the moving of one of the major sporting events to cable as a blow to Aereo’s efforts to capitalize on live viewership.
