NBCUniversal has appointed new programming heads at its cable nets: Bill McGoldrick has been named EVP of original content at Syfy, while Jackie de Crinis becomes EVP of original programming at USA Network.
McGoldrick, now reporting to Dave Howe, Syfy’s president, will oversee the development of the cable network’s original series, both scripted and unscripted. This also includes Syfy Films. McGoldrick was previously EVP of original scripted programming at USA. He will be replacing Syfy’s former head of programming, Mark Stern, who had been in charge of the department for 11 years. Stern departed to executive produce a new series that is expected to debut on Syfy next year.
DeCrinis will report to USA president Chris McCumber and will take on the newly created role of EVP of original programming at USA. She was previously senior program executive at USA and has been with the network since 2000.
