NBCUniversal Television and Streaming has promoted Margaret Walker to senior vice president, audience acquisition and growth for its entertainment and sports divisions. She’ll report to Jennifer Storms, chief marketing officer, entertainment and sports.

In this new position, Walker will oversee all digital platform programming and priority management while driving digital revenue, acquisition and engagement across entertainment, which includes NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Syfy, Universal Kids and USA, as well as audience acquisition for sports.

“Margaret has played a significant role in defining NBCUniversal’s digital footprint across our entertainment platforms and she will continue to thrive in this newly expanded capacity,” Storms said in a statement. “She’s an expert in identifying key opportunities across the digital landscape for NBCU and we are excited to have her forging the path for our future audience acquisition and growth.”

Walker previously served as senior vice president, digital product and distribution marketing for NBCUniversal. Her job responsibilities included oversight of operations for NBC.com and growing digital viewership and revenue across NBCU’s entertainment streaming apps. Walker led the rebuilding of NBCU’s marketing technology stack from the ground up and was instrumental in increasing digital audience growth and retention.

She began her career at NBCU in 2016 as vice president, digital product and distribution marketing, and was promoted to oversee NBCU’s full suite of entertainment networks in 2019.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Walker was senior director of marketing at DirecTV, responsible for driving subscriber acquisition, enhancing customer lifetime value and executing the company’s multi-channel marketing strategy.

Walker is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
