The Red Nose Day charity event, already popular in the U.K., has come to the U.S. via NBC’s airwaves.

The charity show, telecast on Thursday, May 21, benefits 12 separate charity organizations working to get children and young people out of poverty.

Throughout the week, NBC worked to get as much attention on the event and the charity goals as possible.

The broadcast was hosted by Seth Meyers of NBC’s Late Night, along with Aquarius’ David Duchovny and 30 Rock’s Jane Krakowski. Appearances from stars included Ed Sheeran and Kermit the Frog, Julia Roberts, Anna Kendrick, Martin Short and the cast of Game of Thrones.

Videos of pieces of the event went out and went viral on Thursday night into Friday, and for good reason. Some sketches managed to promote the charity and the event itself through clever and funny shorts that made their way around headlines and social feeds.

First, celebrities play a game of telephone to get the word out about Red Nose Day. Or is it Red Rose Day… or Red Rover Day… or Day Day Day?

Pitch Perfect’s Anna Kendrick and comic Brett Gelman reimagine what Indiana Jones movies would look like as a reboot with a female lead.

Next, Coldplay joins the cast of Game of Thrones for a faux musical:

In a tie-in with NBC’s The Voice, Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman tries to gain attention to a charity with the help of Jeff Goldblum to transform him “from an early period funny Tom Hanks to a late period dramatic Tom Hanks.” He enters the “Battle Round” against champion Will Ferrell.

In a piece called “Hollywood Secrets,” stars reveal the well-kept “secret” of Julia Roberts’ real voice.

Billy on the Street’s Billy Eichner was joined by Martin Short to raise money from people in New York, but they run into problems when people don’t believe the famous comedian/actor is the real thing.

Even Bill and Melinda Gates’ foundation announcement gets interrupted by a terribly distracting crew.

Last but not least, re-live the tearful rendition of “Rainbow Connection” by Ed Sheeran and Kermit the Frog:
