National Geographic Channel is celebrating Thanskgiving this year (and bringing Mad Men’s Vincent Kartheiser back to TV) with Saints & Strangers, a retelling of the Pilgrim story.

The first promo (above) mirrors the pilgrim experience with that of the Native Americans nearby - both praying and chanting for very similar things - safety, security, well-being. Nat Geo explores those similarities in the two-night event this November.

Saints & Strangers premieres Nov. 22 on National Geographic Channel.
