National Geographic Channels International recently launched its campaign for Explorer, the monthly documentary series making its debut for the first time outside of the U.S.
The award-winning series debuts its latest episode on Dec. 13 in some regions, with others to follow, so Nat Geo began a launch campaign to introduce international viewers to the series.
“The international launch of Explorer gave us the chance to meet and film with some of the most extraordinary journalistic talent and brilliant scientific minds in the world,” said Emanuele Madeddu, SVP of creative and marketing at National Geographic Channels International. “The challenge was to connect stories so different under one strong overarching umbrella, and [the tagline] ‘never stop asking’ is really delivering on the mission of the show.”
The campaign continued with a spot (below) centered on “the big journalistic questions” to which Explorer relates, with its mission of “opening a window on hidden parts of the world, unlocking mysteries both ancient and modern and investigating stories of science, nature and culture,” according to the network.
The spots also highlight the big names asking those questions, including Bill Nye, who presents a deeper study on global warming.
