“I keep dying and reliving the same night,” says Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) in Netflix’s trailer for Russian Doll.

The series follows her journey as the guest of honor at a seemingly inescapable party one night … after night … after night … in New York City.

“I’m not fine. I’m questioning my own sanity,” she says as she tries to avoid her inevitable end in the Groundhog Day-esq dark comedy.

The series boasts an all-female writing and directing team, and is co-created by Lyonne, Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland, who all serve as executive producers, with Headland and Lyonne as writers and directors for the series, alongside director Jamie Babbit.

Cast members include Greta Lee (KTown), Yul Vazquez (Captain Phillips), Elizabeth Ashley (Ocean’s 8) and Charlie Barnett (Chicago Fire), along with guest stars Chloë Sevigny (Lizzie), Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black), Brendan Sexton III (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Rebecca Henderson (Appropriate Behavior), Jeremy Bobb (The Knick), Ritesh Rajan (Stitchers) and Jocelyn Bioh (School Girls).

Russian Doll is produced by Universal Television, Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions, JAX Media and 3 Arts Entertainment.

It premieres February 1 on Netflix.
