MTV has promoted Kevin Vitale to senior vice president of brand creative and operations, the announcement was made today by the network.

In his role, Vitale will oversee all creative branding and promotion for the network, its programming, tentpoles and events across all platforms. Vitale joined MTV from IFC, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing. Vitale will report directly to Jacqueline Parkes, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Creative for MTV.

“Kevin has a strong track record of building brand creative that is fresh, unpredictable and impactful. He’s a talented executive with a sensibility that is perfectly MTV, and we’re excited to have him on the team,” said Parkes in a statement.

Vitale joined IFC in 2011 where he played a significant role in shaping the creative identity of the network, most recently spearheading its award-winning 2015 rebrand. As senior vice president of brand marketing for IFC, Vitale oversaw all brand creative, including the planning, strategy and production of on-air and off-air creative across platforms. Vitale also directed creative for live events ranging from its annual presence at the South by Southwest to the network’s Upfront presentation.

Prior to being promoted to SVP, Vitale served as vice president of creative and brand strategy for IFC. Vitale joined AMC Networks in 2007 as creative director of its Rainbow Creative Services unit. He has also worked as a writer and producer with the CBS Marketing Group. Vitale began his career at VH1.
