MTV changed the color of its logo to purple on Thursday to honor the late legendary singer-songwriter Prince, 57, who was found dead today in his Minnesota home.

MTV also swapped out it’s scheduled programming to air the artist’s most influential music videos on three of its channels. The dedicated block began at 1:55 p.m. EST on MTV and MTV2. MTV Live also aired videos at 3 p.m.

The network will also show Purple Rain, the Oscar-winning 1984 film starring Prince, on Thursday from 7:10 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 a.m. - 6 a.m., with Prince music videos playing in between.

MTV News will also air a dedicated podcast highlighting Prince’s influence on the music industry, and will issue “a full Prince takeover” on Snapchat. On-air content will also include archival interviews, behind-the-scenes MTV moments, and more.

“MTV is heartbroken and in utter disbelief at the news that the world has lost Prince Rogers Nelson so suddenly and so before his time,” MTV said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Prince was a once-in-a-lifetime artist who transcended every medium and genre he touched and created music with a passion and individuality that inspired multiple generations. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends and millions of fans.”

News of Prince’s death came hours after MTV President Sean Atkins unveiled a massive upfront slate featuring 14 new series and eight shows in development, and debuted a major turnaround to bring the brand back to its music roots.

Other TV networks are also finding ways to celebrate Prince’s life.

VHI will air Purple Rain throughout the day from Thursday to Sunday.

AXS TV will air a special tribute Saturday, April 23. It will begin with the Prince edition of its show Rock Legends at 1 p.m. EST, and the television premiere of the documentary Slave Trade: How Prince Re-Made the Music Business at 2 p.m. EST.

Prince fans also flocked to YouTube to watch his iconic 2007 Super Bowl XLI halftime show.

And MTV is also not the only one honoring Prince with purple.

Target Field in Minneapolis was lit up in purple, the Minnesota Twins baseball team shared a photo on Twitter showing the stadium’s purple lighting and displays for their game against the Milwaukee Brewers, the 1-35 Bridge in Minneapolis will also “reign purple” in his honor, and even NASA paid tribute by posting a photo of a purple nebula.
