These green screen images are all part of a larger campaign by MTV to invite artists to be part of the creative experience.
Leading up to the Video Music Awards on Aug. 30, fans can access MTV’s green screen artwork at its VMAs website to create their own versions, which will be judged by MTV, says Mashable.
They can also start out with photos or videos of host Miley Cyrus or performers Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars or Beyonce.
A winner for each piece will then be chosen and the artist will see their work take the place of the original green screen image. The images take the form of billboards, TV promos and digital ads, each also featuring the social handle of the submitter on the final piece. Other submissions will be featured on the VMAs website for the green screen campaign.
MTV’s Video Music Awards will air on Aug. 30.
