MSNBC unveiled two new promos with anchors Chuck Todd and Chris Matthews in the latest installment of the network’s “This is Who We Are” campaign.
The two new promos add a talent focused dimension that insert viewers into various locations and situations that seemingly have nothing to do with politics in order to explore angles that disrupt the current way we generally think about political discourse.
In a clip with Chuck Todd, Host of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily” and NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” the anchor is featured in a basketball court comparing the game of basketball to the rules of politics. Todd says in the clip, “These days, politics could use a little refereeing. And we’re not afraid to blow the whistle.”
In another clip, anchor Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” is posted in a boxing gym prompting the question: “Are we going to fight to a decision or just keep fighting?”
The first layer of “This is Who We Are” launched in the summer of 2016, and showcased real moments from MSNBC’s air in an effort to engage viewers.
