Season two of AT&T Audience Network’s Mr. Mercedes focuses on Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway, Penny Dreadful). Who is hospitalized in a vegetative state after an attempted second mass murder.

But when mysterious occurrences begin happening among hospital staff caring for him, retired detective Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson, Harry Potter) is haunted by the feeling that Brady is somehow responsible.

Based on works by author Stephen King, the series follows the cat-and-mouse game between the two.

Mr. Mercedes is written by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) and Dennis Lehane (Mystic River), and directed by Jack Bender (Game of Thrones, Lost).

The 10-episode season two premieres August 22.
