Four friends struggle to navigate love and heartbreak in Hulu’s new romantic comedy, Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The streamer debuted the trailer and key art (below) for the anthology series based on the 1994 film of the same name. Actress and comedian Mindy Kaling serves as writer and executive producer for the 10-part installment.
Nathalie Emmanuel stars as Maya, a young communications director who travels to London to attend a wedding and reconnect with old friends.
But in the midst of it all, a personal crisis ensues as love affairs are ignited and doused, relationships are put to the test, political scandals are exposed, and “of course there are four weddings… and a funeral,” Hulu says.
In addition to Emmanuel, the series stars Zoe Boyle, Guz Khan, Sophia La Porta, Harish Patel, Nikesh Patel, John Reynolds, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Brandon Mychal Smith. Tracey Wigfield, Richard Curtis, Matt Warburton, Jonathan Prince, Howard Klein of 3Arts Entertainment, Charlie Grandy, Tristram Shapeero and Charles McDougall (episodes one and two) executive produce the series.
The first four episodes of Four Weddings and a Funeral premiere Wednesday, July 31. New episodes follow weekly on Hulu.
