Mike Rowe has very supportive (and very social, as it turns out) parents.

A series of new spots has Rowe trying to explain that his stunts in the third season of his show, Mike Rowe: Somebody’s Gotta Do It, aren’t nearly as dangerous as they think.

The first spot (above) has Rowe defending the new season, but his social media-savvy parents are way ahead of him.

Other CNN spots feature Rowe’s real parents getting very involved in the network’s programming:

CNN also took advantage of the Republican Debate to make sure the network’s viewers knew to look out for Rowe.
