Marketing agency Midnight Oil has hired Eric Abromson to the position of executive creative director.

Abromson will lead creative development strategies for the agency’s Brand Experience Group, and will report to President Brandon Gabriel.

“Eric’s industry experience is extremely impressive, and his advertising background and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the agency and our clients,” Gabriel said in a statement. “He’s worked on some of the most iconic brands in the world and we’re absolutely thrilled to welcome him to our team.”

Before joining Midnight Oil, Abromson worked for nearly three years a creative director and copywriter for the creative department of an in-house agency, as well as freelancing for clients like Lexus and various movie studios.

Abromson also worked at advertising firm Davis Elen, working with brands such as McDonald’s, Toyota, and OneWest Bank, as well as with global advertising agency network McCann on branding campaigns for IHOP, Nissan, Norwegian Cruise Line, Red Bull and K-Swiss.

Abromson said he’s looking forward to working at Midnight Oil.

“I have long admired Midnight Oil for their incredible work, as well as the way they seamlessly straddle the line between advertising and entertainment,” he said. “I’m excited to be working with such a dynamic and passionate group of people.”
