Disney+ will celebrate Earth Month with three documentaries exploring nature and all its wonders, including Elephant, narrated by Duchess of Sussex (but not HRH) Meghan Markle.

The film follows an elephant family’s epic journey that takes them hundreds of miles across the Kalahari Desert. Along the way, the family faces brutal heat, dwindling resources and persistent predators as they follow in their ancestor’s footsteps on a quest to reach a lush, green paradise, according to the logline.

Markle lends her voice to the project as her first post-royal job, following her and Harry’s announcement in January that they are leaving their official royal duties and seeking financial independence.

Elephant is one of three features that will launch on Disney+ in honor of Earth Month. Others include the previously announced Dolphin Reef, with narration by Natalie Portman, and Penguins, which launches on the platform following its theatrical release last year. All will make their Disney+ debut on April 3.
