The Hollywood love story between Megan Morrison (Christine Evangelista) and Kyle West (Josh Henderson) continues to unfold when The Arrangement returns.

E! set a March 11 premiere date for season two, and dropped a first look trailer that shows Megan trying on wedding dresses as she agrees to a contract to marry movie star Kyle, and plots to take down the Institute of the Higher Mind (IHM) that he is a part of.

Meanwhile, his dark past is revealed, along with his connection to IHM leader Terence Anderson (Michael Vartan) and his wife Deann Anderson (Lexa Doig).

At NBCUniversal’s Holiday Press Junket, Vartan described the first installment as “much more of an establishing season,” that was focused on the love story between Megan and Kyle. Season two gets “much darker,” as it explores the inner workings of the IHM and focuses on themes of truth and reality.

Evangelista agreed, saying the second chapter is “more elevated, and a lot smarter,” taking on a “psychological thriller” type of tone.

Her character Megan also begins to take more control with a newfound strength that comes across in the promo.

“There are people out there who want to see you fail,” Megan says in the teaser. “And all I can say about that, is that none of it is worth spending a second of your life feeling powerless. And I’ll never let that happen again.”
