Matthew Damore has been named the new creative services director at Nexstar’s KRON San Francisco. In his new role, he will lead the station’s creative team while overseeing brand development, sales initiatives and community engagement across all of the station’s linear, digital and streaming platforms.

Prior to coming to KRON, Damore was the creative services director at Nexstar’s KSEE/KGPE Fresno.

“Matt’s been serving communities in California for nearly three decades, he understands the dynamics of our industry and what it takes to make a difference. Matt was the right choice to make an impact here in the Bay Area and within our organization,” said Jim Rose, vice president and general manager of KRON, in a statement.

Before joining Nexstar, Damore, a U.S. Army veteran, began his career in television at the Armed Forces Radio & Television Service.

“I’m thrilled to join a legacy brand at KRON4,” he said, also in a statement. “The opportunities to work with the diverse team here and expand the KRON name, while building new community engagement is very exciting,” Damore said, also in a statement.
