​Manuel Martinez, previously the president and GM of NBCU’s WTVJ Miami/Fort Lauderdale, has been named the new president of Telemundo stations for NBCUniversal.

Martinez will oversee the 16 owned stations in the US and Puerto Rico, reporting to Valari Staab, president of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.

He had been at WTVJ since 2012. Prior to that, he was the president and GM of Telemundo’s WSCV in the same market. Martinez has also led the Telemundo Station Group Digital Unit.
