Serial brought thousands over to the podcast world, and Netflix is most likely hoping the same phenomenon occurs with its docuseries Making a Murderer.

The series, set to premiere Dec. 18, lays out the case against Steven Avery, a man who spent 18 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of a crime, and is now on trial once more. Throughout the 10-episode docuseries, filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos go through the first case before delving into his trial now.

Making a Murderer is Netflix’s latest documentary in a growing slate that also includes Virunga, What Happened, Miss Simone?, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom and Chef’s Table.
