Online video giant Maker Studios is bringing former Yahoo executive Erin McPherson on board as its new Chief Creative Officer, the company said Monday.

She will be responsible for Maker’s content and programming strategy as it expands into 20 new verticals with 100 new shows in development, and will report directly to Executive Chairman Ynon Kreiz.

McPherson served as VP in charge of video programming and originals while at Yahoo!.

“Erin is one of the most respected executives in original online video content and has a track record of developing popular programming across a variety of categories; she understands large-scale online video production,” said Kreiz. “This is a key position for Maker as we plan to break the mold on traditional programming concepts and produce and distribute a large slate of original video content across our vertical hubs.”
