NBCUniversal has made some changes at the top today, promoting Kevin MacLellan to chairman of NBCUniversal International and Lee Raftery to EVP of marketing and communications.
MacLellan is moving into the chairman role as his colleague Jeff Shell has moved to chairman of the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group. Since 2011, he was president of international television and was with Comcast International Media Group before that. Based in London, MacLellan will oversee international expansion and business growth across NBCU brands. The move puts MacLellan in NBCUniversal’s Executive Committee.
Raftery’s new role as EVP of marketing and communications is effective immediately and in his expanded role, he will be responsible for marketing activity across NBCUniversal’s television brands outside the U.S. Raftery will also oversee corporate communications across NBCUniversal International.
