Burbank, Calif.-based creative agency Lussier is adding two new divisions—Bangers & Mash and Lussier Originals—and has named Jesse Atlas as director of content and Hambis Charalambous executive vice president of marketing, Lussier President Chris Stonich said Monday.
With the additions of Atlas and Charalambous and the Bangers & Mash team, Lussier will provide its clients—which include studios, networks and streaming services—with 360 marketing capabilities. Bangers & Mash is the company’s new print division led by Charalambous, while Lussier Originals will be led by Atlas and develop documentary series, in-world content, integrated marketing initiatives and branded content.
Atlas recently wrapped his first feature film, Die Like Lovers, a sci-fi thriller he directed, starring Bruce Willis, Dominic Purcell, Nomzamo Mbatha and Andy Allo. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically by Saban Films in 2022. Atlas has sold original features and episodic series to Focus and WB Digital, served as creative director on launch campaigns for both Netflix and Amazon, crafted branded documentary content for Vimeo and Samsung, and edited in-world specials for shows, including Mr. Robot and Bates Motel.
“We are lucky to have Jesse joining the Lussier family,” said Lussier President Chris Stonich in a statement. “He is the perfect person to guide this division towards success and in doing so, he will continue to deliver what our clients and partners have expected and receive, and that’s outstanding storytelling, innovative concepts and fresh ideas.”
Bangers & Mash has projects underway for Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox/Disney and Neon, including Alvin Ailey documentary Ailey; Clint Eastwood’s new drama Cry Macho; comedy Stop & Go, and HGTV’s Reno My Rental, Vacation House Rules, and Two Steps Home.
“Bangers & Mash is an exciting new addition to the Lussier brand,” said Stonich in a statement. “Under Charalambous’ leadership, he and his team have secured an impressive list of clientele. This is a new chapter for our company and one that comes as our industry is changing so rapidly. The one thing our clients and partners can always expect from Lussier and Bangers & Mash is unsurpassed creativity, dependability, and attention to the smallest detail.”
Charalambous is a print veteran who originated the theatrical print divisions at Midnight Oil, Canyon Design and Legion. Throughout his career, Charalambous has led the agency of record for numerous studio print departments, including Neon and CBS Films.
