Marvel TV brought its suite of Netflix shows to San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, including Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Defenders. Marvel and Netflix announced during the session that the first of the bunch, Daredevil, would be back for a third season, while revealing the first trailer for the anticipated Luke Cage and a first look at Iron First as well as the above sizzle reel.
Fans got acquainted with Cage (Mike Colter) in Jessica Jones, but also were aware he would be getting his own series in due course.
In the first trailer, Cage is every bit of the bad-ass we expected he would be. Who knew you could do so much with a car door, set to the beats of ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya”?
Season one of Marvel TV’s Luke Cage drops all episodes on Sept. 30.
Also coming up is Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones as Danny Rand.
Finally, Marvel TV revealed the new logo for The Defenders, which will pull four of these superheroes together in one series.
