Netflix released a first clip for the Marvel’s Luke Cage Street Level Hero social video series—digital videos that blend fiction with history.

Part one, which runs about two minutes, explores the music that moves the series. It features commentary from Executive Producer Cheo Hodari Coker, Mike Colter, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge of A Tribe Called Quest, A$AP Ferg and Method Man, each of whom explain how the score and musical influence shapes each episode.

Marvel’s Luke Cage is the third show in the Defenders series to launch on Netflix, following Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones, leading up to the future release of Marvel’s Iron Fist, and ultimately, Marvel’s The Defenders. Like the two preceding series, it takes the approach of a gritty, action-packed drama, featuring heroes who are grounded in the real world.

Luke Cage focuses on the evolution of the hero with super strength, who was first introduced in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, after he relocates to Harlem and picks up the pieces following his failed relationship with Jones.

The series premieres globally September 30 on Netflix.
