HBO Max and its partner brand, Human by Orientation, is celebrating Pride throughout June with custom and curated collections as well as short-form content and social media campaigns.
Starting Wednesday, June 1, HBO Max launches its 2022 Pride celebration with a curatorial and design refresh of its LGBTQ+ Voices collection, which includes such series as Euphoria, Gentleman Jack, Hacks, Legendary, Our Flag Means Death, We’re Here and We Are Who We Are, as well as relevant movies and documentaries. Throughout the month, select titles from the collection will be available on Watch Free Episodes on HBO Max.
Also starting June 1, the collection will include custom, short-form content series intended to amplify the voices of HBO Max LGBTQ+ talent, such as Hacks’ Hannah Einbinder; Legendary’s Dashaun Wesley, Leiomy Maldonado, Jameela Jamil and Law Roach; Somebody Somewhere’s Murray Hill and Jeff Hiller; and We’re Here’s Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela and Eureka. The featured content will include: Queerness in Conversation, “Culture Closeups,” “Serving Lewks,” and “Get Ready With Me.”
HBO Max also is partnering with DC to host a Super Hero Pride tray, consisting of titles from the DC Multiverse that feature characters in the LGBTQ+ community such as Naomi (premieres 6/1), Batwoman, Harley Quinn, Young Justice, Constantine: City of Demons, Doom Patrol and Peacemaker.
HBO Max and Human by Orientation are working with queer collectives across three major markets during Pride Month – Los Angeles, Miami and New York City – where pride will be back in person with parades and parties all month long.

Starting June 4 in Los Angeles, Human By Orientation is collaborating with The Party By Ostbahnhof on an event about freedom, fashion and fearlessness called “Scene” that will feature a lineup of queer DJs and incorporate photo moments from HBO Max series.
On June 19, Human By Orientation teams up with Black queer collective, Masisi, for its Pride and Juneteenth celebration in Miami. Programming will feature wellness workshops and skincare services by Black practitioners, followed by a panel discussion titled “Art and Dance Floors as a Platform for Healing,” followed by a night of music and performances by Black queer creatives.
Human by Orientation then heads to New York City to work with Brooklyn-based collectives Club Carry, xCakes and DickAppointment to host “Garden.” The event will start with community-centered discussions around queer nightlife and lead into a party with sets by notable queer DJs.
