Louise Rider has been promoted to executive producer at Chicago- and Detroit-based audio post-production company Another Country, according to Managing Director Tim Konn.

Rider has been at Another Country, part of Chicago-based Cutters Studios, since she started as an assistant engineer in 2008. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, she relocated to Chicago in 2003 to pursue a bachelor’s of arts degree in music technology at Northwestern University and in 2013 received a master’s degree in library and information science from Dominican University. An avid and highly accomplished violinist, Rider learned along the way that her passion for music applied to all facets of sound.

“During her 14-year tenure at our studio,” said Konn in a statement, “Louise has proven herself again and again, and we can’t imagine life without her. She knows the company, our clientele, and the industry like the back of her hand, and so her input and leadership is instrumental to our continued success.”

During her time at the audio post-production house, Rider also has served as music supervisor, librarian and producer.

“It all comes back to the people,” said Rider of working at Another Country. “Even with the most challenging jobs, we have a collective goal to do our best. We all work so well together and really enjoy each other’s company, which I’m so grateful for. In this new position, I’m looking forward to continuing to work with my amazing coworkers and connecting with our clients more.”
