Disney Plus’ season-two trailer for Marvel Studios’ Loki has become the streamer’s most-watched trailer ever, with more than 80 million views as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Deadline. Season one of Loki, which stars Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the Norse god of mischief in many Marvel movies, is the most watched Marvel Studios’ series on Disney Plus.
In the trailer, Loki is having some problems with a phenomenon called “time-slipping,” which is immediately recognized by the guy who mans the repair desk – Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan, who most recently starred in Everything Everywhere All at Once and Disney Plus series American-Born Chinese. Loki is again joined by TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) as they try to solve the complicated problems unleashed by changing the timeline.
The series stars Sophia Di Martino as Loki from an alternate timeline, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr and Neil Ellice. Jonathan Majors reprises his role as Kang.
Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani direct episodes. Eric Martin is head writer. Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin R. Wright, Hiddleston, Benson, Moorhead, Martin and Michael Waldron are the executive producers, with Trevor Waterson serving as co-executive producer.
Marvel Studios’ Loki returns to Disney Plus on October 6.
