TruthCo CEO Linda Ong is joining Civic Entertainment Group as chief culture officer, the company said Thursday.
“With Linda as our new Chief Culture Officer, we are thrilled to deepen Civic’s expertise in helping brands navigate shifting cultural tides,” said Stuart Ruderfer, Civic co-CEO, in a statement. “Linda brings unparalleled experience to the Civic team and a proven track record in developing game-changing cultural strategies.“
In her new role, Ong will leverage her expertise as an observer of cultural trends and use those observations to assist brands with their marketing strategies.
In 2015, Ong was an appointed by the White House’s Office of Public Engagement as a founding member of the Creative Alliance for Civic Nation, a non-profit, non-partisan organization. She also served as an “Innovation Ambassador” to the 2014 United Nations World Summit on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and as a delegate to the 2016 United Nations Media for Social Impact Summit, and was named one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business for 2014.

Ong will continue to oversee existing projects at TruthCo until they are completed.
