“When you start your mornings with Good Day Oregon, the pieces of your day just lock into place.”
The promo producers at Meredith-owned Fox affiliate KPTV Portland, Ore., had fun with Legos ahead of Super Bowl LIV. The team hired Lego artist Brian Hanna —just ahead of Fox’s debut of new reality competition series, Lego Masters—to create portraits of Good Day Oregon‘s four anchors: Kimberly Maus, Shauna Parsons, Tony Martinez and Andy Carson.
“They’re the team that clicks,” the voice-over intones.
The team captured the Hanna’s process as he created each portrait and turned that footage into spots for both on-air and online, reported TVNewscheck. The final :30 promo includes all of the portraits, but the station also produced videos of Hanna putting together each one. The station commissioned the art, which is now hanging in the KPTV newsroom.
