Amazon made a deal with PBS this week to bring content to Prime Instant Video, including Masterpiece and Ken Burns documentaries, but perhaps more notably it has acquired PBS KIDS content like “Caillou,” “Arthur” and “Dinosaur Train” as well.
Netflix also came out this week with an announcement that it has added Australia’s “Mako Mermaids,” a series aimed at tweens.

Brief Take: It seems as though Netflix and Amazon announce new children’s streaming deals every week, and it shows that the market is heating up and competition is getting stiff.
