Kartik Dakshinamoorthy has been named president and co-owner of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Devlin Design Group with a 50% stake in the global set and lighting design company, DDG said Thursday. Founder Dan Devlin becomes chief executive officer.

I couldn’t ask for a better fit,” said Devlin in a statement. “For the past twenty-three years, learning the business from the ground up, Kartik has proven his leadership qualities and has contributed to shaping the company into what it is today. I look forward to his partnership on long-term strategic initiatives in this fast-changing business, as well as his unwavering commitment to our clients. Kartik will continue to act as the head of scenic design in his expanded role.”

Devlin Design Group was founded by Devlin nearly forty years ago. He has a masters of architecture from Arizona State University.

Similarly, Dakshinamoorthy earned a masters of architecture from the University of Arizona.
