AMC confirmed on Saturday that Giancarlo Esposito would be reprising his role as fast-food chicken franchise owner/meth drug lord Gus Fring in Breaking Bad-prequel Better Call Saul.
Esposito himself delivered the news by delivering chicken from Fring’s franchise, Los Pollos Hermanos, to reporters covering press tour in Pasadena, Calif.
That Esposito would be appearing on Better Call Saul was first teased in the show’s season-two finale. Then an ad for Los Pollos Hermanos aired on late-night TV in Albuquerque, N.M., where the show is filmed. The ad quickly got picked up all over the Internet on YouTube as well as TV and fan sites.
