Syndication’s latest talk-show host, EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson, stars in the show’s first promo, released by producer Warner Bros. on Thursday.

Hudson is the youngest woman ever to achieve EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winner status. She originally came to fame as a finalist on Fox’s American Idol and went on to win the best supporting actress Oscar for her role as lovelorn Effie White in Dreamgirls, starring Beyonce and Eddie Murphy. She’s won two Grammys and in June, finally secured her Tony as a co-producer on this year’s Best Musical, A Strange Loop. In 2022, she also starred as Aretha Franklin in the film Respect, a role for which she was hand-picked by Franklin.

The Jennifer Hudson Show is set to debut Monday, September 12 on stations owned by Fox Television Stations, Gray Television, Hearst Television, Nexstar Media Group, E. W. Scripps, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Tegna and others. The show is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures Productions with Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner and Corey Palent executive producing.
