ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy — now broadcast TV’s 10th longest-running drama — is entering its record-breaking 15th season, and it doesn’t look like the prime-time series has lost any of its ability to turn any story into a soap opera.
Nashville’s Chris Carmack and newcomer Alex Landi guest star as Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital’s newest surgeons. Teddy (Kim Raver) announces that she’s pregnant and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) might have found a new love after the death of her husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) in Dr. Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). Although, it’s Grey’s Anatomy so don’t expect any relationship to come easy to Grey and DeLuca.
To celebrate the show, ABC teamed up with PopSugar and Thnk1994 to create a weekend-long exhibit all about Grey’s Anatomy in West Hollywood from Sept. 21-23. The exhibit, to be held at 631 N. Robertson Blvd., will feature fine art and installations that are meant to be engaging and thought-provoking. Artists exhibiting include Chicago-based Laura Collins, Mississippi-based Derek Covington Smith and Brooklyn-based Miriam Carothers.
Grey’s Anatomy is created by Shonda Rhimes. It’s executive produced by Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Mark Gordon. Krista Vernoff is executive producer and showrunner with William Harper, Joanne Clack, Debbie Allen and Fred Einesman also executive producing. The show is produced by ABC Studios.
The show returns for season 15 on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
