Leading up to PromaxBDA’s big international conference, we are taking a look at the speakers, sessions and panels that make the event memorable. Brian Briskman, president and creative director of B2+, speaks about his upcoming session, his career and his advice to industry up-and-comers. Don’t miss Briskman’s session at this year’s conference: “Evolving Your Integration and Branded Content Business.”

Name: Brian Briskman

Title: President and Creative Director, B2+

Can you summarize your session in 5 words? Brand integrations will reinvent TV. (And your job).

What other speaker are you most interested in seeing at PromaxBDA: The Conference this year? Andrew Cracknell. I think I can get a lot of insight into the drastic changes in TV advertising happening today by learning more about the drastic changes in TV advertising that happened in the ‘60s.

How do you watch television content? I’m always watching something on an iPad or MacBook. Once Apple finally makes a TV, I’ll probably start spending time in the living room again.

What is your greatest creative achievement so far? Building and growing B2+. Before starting it in 2006, I’d never worked anywhere more than two years. Almost seven years later, I still can’t wait to go to work every day.

How do you stay inspired? Great architecture – especially in NYC. Standing between the bridges on the waterfront in DUMBO always leaves me speechless.

How did you get your start in this industry? I was an assistant to Harvey Weinstein. Then I went on to make promos for Maury Povich. Two very unique guys to say the least, but both are brilliant marketers.
