Halloween is over, the holidays have begun! But before we sink into two months of unceasing holiday cheer, here are a few cool things that happened in the week that was that you might have missed.

We’re not gonna lie, we’re unabashed fans of BuzzFeed’s Matt Bellassai. His drunken rants on “Whine About It” are often the sole way we, the hard-working denizens of Brief, make it through Wednesdays. So imagine our delight when Bravo called on him to help promo its new docu-drama, Apres Ski. Alas, BuzzFeed didn’t want to chat with us this time around, so our dream of interviewing Bellassai went unfulfilled, but this was still a fun story to do.

We joined CBS on a trip down memory lane with its announcement that it was developing a reboot of Star Trek for its CBS All Access streaming platform.
