Nick Tran, Hulu vice president of brand marketing and culture, is exiting the streamer to join social-media phenom TikTok, Adweek reported.

Tran has been at Hulu since 2018. He initially reported to CMO Kelly Campbell, who since has been promoted to president. After Campbell’s promotion, Tran reported to Ryan Crosby, vice president of brand and content marketing. Tran and Crosby joined Hulu around the same time.

While at Hulu, Tran and his team worked on such campaigns as “Better Ruins Everything,” and the streamer’s live-sports campaign, which featured professional athletes basically bragging about how much they were getting paid to serve as a spokesperson for the streamer.

The streamer took that “Sellouts” campaign one step further with this Super Bowl spot starring then New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady.

Tran is just the latest high-profile executive to depart the streamer. In January, Hulu CEO Randy Freer left the company. And last week, Peter Naylor, senior vice president and head of advertising sales left to join Snap Inc.

Meanwhile, TikTok’s head of global marketing, Stefan Heinrich Henriquez, left the company in August to join Cameo, a platform on which users can pay celebrities for short custom videos.
