Set to Sammy Davis Jr.’s “I’ve Gotta Be Me,” the above teaser trailer for Hulu’s upcoming eight-episode limited series Mike, focusing on world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, spans Tyson’s childhood, his rise to boxing dominance, his tumultuous relationship with actress Robin Givens, his prison sentence and ultimately, his comeback and rehabilitation into American pop culture.

Hulu worked with creative agency Zealot on the spot.

From the creators of Oscar-nominated film I, Tonya, the limited series also explores class and race in America as well as the myth and the power of fame, wealth and media.

The series stars Trevante Rhodes and Russell Hornsby, with guest stars Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier and Li Eubanks. It was created and will be executive produced by I, Tonya screenwriter Steve Rogers. Karin Gist, executive producer of Our Kind of People, will serve as showrunner and executive producer under her The Gist of It banner along with Claire Brown. The I, Tonya team of director Craig Gillespie, Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan, and LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie will also executive produce along with Entertainment 360’s Darin Friedman. Anthony Hemingway, Anthony Sparks, and Samantha Corbin-Miller executive produce as well, with Rhodes executive producing in addition to starring. 20th Television will produce.

The eight-episode limited series premieres on Hulu on August 25.
