Howard Owens is out as president of National Geographic Channels U.S., CEO David Lyle announced Monday.
During his three years at the company, Owens launched scripted programming as well as several successful reality series, including “Wicked Tuna” and “Ultimate Survival Alaska.”
“Howard injected remarkable energy into the National Geographic Channels brand,” said Lyle. “He has been an invaluable member of our leadership team, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future business endeavors.”
Among the scripted offerings Owens oversaw were “Killing Lincoln,” “Killing Kennedy,” and “Killing Jesus.”
