It’s extremely hard to believe, but summer is just a few short weeks away and we all know what that means: lots of promos for shark-based programming.

To avoid the rush, IFC decided to get in early, running a 12-hour marathon of shark-infused shows on Memorial Day, May 30. Because if you aren’t going to the ocean for the long weekend, you might as well sit home and become terrified of it.
TV’s Jason Alexander harks back to his days on Seinfeld as a bona fide marine biologist, asking in IFC’s spot “did you know I love sharks and know everything about them?”
It’s a questionable assertion, but let’s take a look at Alexander making a similar claim on the show about nothing:
“The sea was angry that day, my friends. Like an old man trying to order soup in a deli.”
IFC’s marathon includes all the Jaws movies— Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3-D (glasses not required) and Jaws: The Revenge—as well as short bits featuring Alexander throughout the day.
