Esquire debuts its new unscripted series, This is Mike Stud, which follows Duke baseball star who had to hang up his cleats when he blew out his elbow. Thinking he was washed up before he even really got started, he posted a hip-hop video online, and was surprised when it quickly grew to hundreds of thousands of viewers.
Success has maybe gone to Stud’s head a little bit: “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man,” he says. This is Mike Stud follows Stud on his 40-city North American concert tour accompanied by his hard-working and hard-partying friends. Esquire partnered with creative agency Riverstreet Productions to express the show’s frenetic, sometimes titillating and often aspirational tone.
